i can't wait until people come to see the apartment tomorrow.

Possible New Tenants: why is there a pot full of water on your floor directly below the hole in your ceiling?
Me: Oh, that's just ol' leaky. they've been trying to fix him for a couple of years now, but can't quite seem to. it's probably why the people before us moved out, too. but don't worry. i'm almost positive it's just the bathtub and not the toilet.

i would take a picture but i lost my camera between being on my plane and getting my luggage.

i'll be gutted like i've never been before

here is an apartment rental tip. if you are looking at a place and the current tenants are home, and you happen to notice a pot on the floor with water in it, with a hole in the ceiling directly above it, don't leave without asking why this is.

anyway, just a tip.

i signed the lease on a new place over the weekend. i am still a little cautious about the place, but it is pretty cool and i would feel sad if someone else got it. i am looking forward to not having people constantly walking by my office and not being woken up by dripping ceilings.

the new place is half as far from the D line as my current place, so i will probably be going back to el pelon a bit more often than i do now. since i hadn't been there in a while, i decided to go there for lunch today. i wanted to get one of the platos. in all the days i went there while i worked at ximian, i never once tried the pork; that was all before my friend phil made me realize that i enjoy eating pork.

anyway i tried the pork plato and it was really good. i might have to go back tomorrow to try a pork burrito.

over the weekend i was having problems with my cell phone; it had a lot of distortion and static whenever someone was talking. i called at&t and the guy asked how often i turn my phone off and i said, umm never. he said i should power it off often.

i am going to meet the new landlord today.

it turns out the new place does have laundry in it. i will not be living in the 16th century after all.
