and that's what being an adult is

i am shocked that christians can say that abstinence is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy when the whole premise of their faith is that it isn't.

in their coverage of bush's visit to canada last week or so, the news hour showed a clip of "blame canada" to demonstrate the political and cultural disconnect between the two countries.

my tv gets here saturday.

initially my impression of the new JSB album was that it wasn't as good as the studio album, or what i remember from the concert. after listening to it for a couple of days, it gets a gold star. i remember "now they will know we were here" and "daisy" from the show, and they are as good as anything else i've ever heard.

while eating my burrito today i overheard the people at the table next to me. apparently she was friends with reggie.

a day or two ago i was thinking about time, like trying to imagine it as a force like gravity. i didn't get much further than that.
