the other day we watched hockey.

this morning i woke up from one of the funniest dreams. basically phil schwan had been elected governor of MA (i think). i guess we were going to be advisors of some sort.
i would write some more about how funny it was, but really i'm not in the mood. you see, the router in the house has a disk in it. this disk has a label, which says some things, most importantly:

and
Apr 96
whenever a sane person sees those words, they would think, "IMMINENT DISK FAILURE."

since gdb was being useless, i had to debug by just reading the code. it actually turned out to be a pretty easy bug. that's the second one i fixed today. well, in 2 days. but i like to think of them as one.

for a long time my copy of paul's boutique (the best album from the 80s) had some nasty scratches on it, such that track 11 was unplayable. in 2000, when i got a job, i bought a new copy. but when i listen to it now, i can still hear the skipping in my head.

yesterday i ate 3 meals for the first time that i can remember. hmm, i just remembered that i probably had 3 meals while i was skiing. oh well.
anyway i had 2 bowls of cheerios for breakfast and then i had a turkey sub at eat fresh then we went to legal's and i had some tasty.
today it's back on the pickles-and-milanos diet. yum.
i don't know which is more insane: that it is supposed to be 12 degrees fahrenheit below 0, or that i may be snowboarding this weekend. i mean, honestly.

the night before last i had a dream where nat died. he had fallen off an airplane and eventually landed on a highway (i had wondered if someone would call us about the body, or if we were supposed to call someone?) and that it was my birthday and we were at legal's and there were like 30 people in our group and a fight broke out and it was my worst birthday yet.
last night i had a dream where it was halloween and i was trick-or-treating on e. monmouth (i can't remember how old i thought i was, but i was surprised nobody had said anything about me being too old) and i went to some hospital-like place and they got blood from me and i woke up.
then i had one where i was going to be in a movie and it was being filmed at a mall and i was at this evil cvs and i couldn't get out.
yesterday i almost bought a P4 motherboard/cpu for milano but i've turned mini-milano's fan to "high" and so far it hasn't turned down. i also got lm_sensors working and stuff.

i missed the bruins game while i was at dinner, and saw that it was a 2-2 tie, with only penalty being for closing the hand on the puck. sounds like a real snoozer.
anyway, i've caught the NESN rebroadcast while finishing up some stuff for work, and it turned out to have been a pretty exciting game: not much play stoppage, some excellent goaltending, and a great hit at the blue line by (all-star!) boynton which sent blake's stick flying.

my shuttle keeps turning off - even with the fan on high - and my laptop's display keeps shutting off at random times in addition to the cd drive making the noise it makes when i unsuspend at random times. i'm kinda scared to go to sleep since it seems like something is haunting my room but i don't really want to stay up all night.
today we debugged some stuff and i think it went pretty well but we'll see tomorrow when i try to implement a fix.
i also ordered a new mb+cpu+ram for milano since mini keeps turning off. i wish they had overnoon shipping so i could have it tomorrow evening rather than monday :/
but overall today was good - i wasn't in a terrible mood like i was all of yesterday.
