today is crazy. somehow, gnome-session works these days. i logged out, told it to save my session, and logged back in. amazingly, my session came back just as i left it!! (well, almost) i guess it's time to trust session management again.

today i walked past where ihop used to be where they are now building this hotel, and there were some people outside protesting or something handing out these flyers urging people to boycott the hotel.

i might be missing something, but isn't it hard to boycott something that isn't open for business? wouldn't it have made sense to try to get them before the like, started to build the hotel? or maybe, after they are in business expecting to make money? maybe i am missing something.

last night i had a dream where i had a iBook. this made my day frustrating.

this morning i was sitting at my desk at home reading the internet and i heard thunder. i promptly left for work.

it would be cool if the first car i bought was a flying car. however with the terrorists and all i don't think we'll be having flying cars any time soon.

nat says i should get a vespa.

i used to think that i didn't like listening to random songs... but so far i am enjoying the iPod with random play. it is nice to not have to lug around however much 100 cds weigh everywhere i go. i do wish there was an extra battery i could carry around. i think having iPod suggest what i listen to is having an effect on my mood, as it keeps things mixed up (despite its attempts at not-very-random-random play) and keeps me out of a rut of listening to smashing pumpkins all the time. or maybe it's the not having to carry around the cds. i do wish they had a 20 gig version.

i have a mac and a desk and a chair and we have a couch. phil is not going to recognize our apartment.

i started eating crunchberry cereal again. it has a certain flavor to it. i can understand why some people would hate it. i can understand why it gives me insomnia. also we have no good drinks at the office so i have to drink cola or hot chocolate and i think those keep me awake at night when i can't turn off my brain. also they have blue and green crunchberries now. i wonder if they made crunchberry jam if anyone would buy it.

this weekend i had indian food with joe and chris and shona. then i got a book. we had to go on the highway to get there. i hadn't been on the highway in a while.

it is difficult to watch tv these days, after seeing so much seinfeld. i mean, it's like going back to tommy's after finding 'noch's.

currently, in iTunes, i have cds from each year between 1965 and 2002, inclusive, except for 1974 and 1977-1987, inclusive again. this is skewed, however, as i haven't ripped all my cds and some things (like remasters) are the wrong year i think. i am missing a whole decade of music. although i wouldn't really say that i'm missing it.

i have been living in this apartment for almost 9 months now and i am still refining my walk to work. i now walk through this little park thing by the stream and there are ducks there. there are baby ducks at the public garden now. ducks are funny animals to watch walk.

that's all.

it's true. i actually don't own any albums from 1974. i found this very hard to believe, but after searching my cds and the internet this seems to be the case. i do however have a recording of mahler 1 from 1974 so all is not lost.

iTunes can export my playlist to a text file, so i am going to do some graphing or something of it. or i might not touch it ever again.

i got a new error when booting my laptop this evening:

Loading test.......................... Uncompressing Linux... Out of memory -- System halted

i need to get php set up on my mac.
