2 am. can't sleep.
last week i started reading tepper isn't going out as my mom said someone said it was good. sadly, it's pretty bad. so bad that i can't finish it. the last painful-to-read book i read i did finish, but only because it was really short.
ironically reading bad books is good, as it helps me appreciate decent writing, like some of hemingway (i got a book of some short stories last week too that i'm reading).
anyway it's 3 am and i am not sleepy at all.

today joe and i recieved a postcard:

it was postmarked from pisa italy, with an italian stamp, and addressed to "The Bernsteins" at our address.
joe and i went to the apple store to get them to try to convince me to get a tibook. no dice :/
upon returning home, after lilo came up i got a CRC error booting the kernel. the next try X locked up when i logged in. next time CRC error. next gnome-session crash.
sigh.
