Right now, Tom says that the server is about done. There is
probably some debugging to do, but not many new features to be
added. The Java client has a large amount left to do, but a lot of
initial code has been written. I (Jacob) am not too sure what Java
version(s) I am going to support at the moment, I think I need to
wait and see what is going to happen with Netscape 5 to decide what is going to
happen. I don't know about the win32 client, Tom was going to do it
but he has been working on a new web site, and hasn't been working
on Epoch. I suppose I could write it, but I am not looking forward
to it. :) I am looking forward to porting the Epoch client to
Linux/GTK, but that will require a lot
of time, so that is slated for this summer.

Well, I have started rewriting the client (yes, again). This time I
am confident that it will turn out well. Today was the second time
I had time to work on it, and it can now log in to the server. You
can take a look at a screenshot of it here. It is pretty basic, I am
just trying to get it working, then will make it look nicer.
Good news: As of May 11, I am now done with finals! So I
will be working a lot on Epoch, I hope. Check in for updates.

Work has been coming along steadily. I've found a few bugs in the
server, which took some time. One major bug which caused a server
crash was fixed. :) There are still incomplete parts in it, though.
Chatting works, on the client and server. I am now working on
actually playing games. :) In a while, Tic Tac Toe should be
working, and then whatever squares will be called should be included
too. That shouldn't be too hard, since a lot of java and server
code already exists. Here are a couple of current screenshots, the
login screen and
chatting. Enjoy.
